Suspected Heroin Dealer Armed With Loaded Stolen Revolver Nabbed After Trenton Chase: Police

A man armed with a stolen revolver loaded with hollow-point ammunition — as well as dozens of heroin decks and hundreds in suspected drug proceeds — was arrested following a foot chase in Trenton, local police said.

Officers responding to a report of an armed man wearing a cross-body satchel near Hamilton and Hudson Streets found 37-year-old Henry Hutchinson matching the subject’s description on Monday, June 18, Trenton Police said in a release on Wednesday, June 20.

Hutchinson ran from detectives as they were approaching, initiating a brief foot chase, police said.

He was eventually found and arrested for obstruction.

A search turned up a loaded Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver that was found to be stolen and had been loaded with three rounds of hollow-point ammunition, police said.

Officers also allegedly found 52 decks of heroin and $682 that was confiscated as suspected drug proceeds.

The Trenton Police Department Violent Crimes Unit also assisted.
